Website Care Plans

Your website, looked after.

A website care plan is a monthly service that keeps your site updated, backed up, secure and online, with an allowance for the small changes every business needs. In Ireland these plans typically run from €30 to €150 a month for a small business site, and more for an online shop. Sevenoways quotes yours around how your site is actually built, because a modern static site needs far less looking after than a WordPress site with a stack of plugins.

Website Care — common questions

What is a website care plan?

A website care plan is a monthly service covering the work a site needs to stay secure and current: software updates, backups, security monitoring, uptime checks and a small allowance for content changes. It is the difference between a site that quietly keeps working and one nobody touches until it breaks.

How much does a website care plan cost in Ireland?

Across the Irish market, small business plans typically run €30 to €150 a month, and e-commerce sites €150 to €500 or more. Sevenoways quotes yours after looking at how your site is built, because a WordPress site with many plugins needs considerably more attention than a modern static site.

Do I need a care plan if my site is not on WordPress?

Usually far less of one. Sites built on modern static technology have no plugins to patch and no database to attack, so the work reduces to content changes and occasional checks. We will tell you honestly if a full plan would be money wasted on your setup.

What happens if my website gets hacked?

On a care plan we restore from the most recent clean backup, close the hole that let it happen, and tell you what we found. That is the main reason backups must be daily and restorable, not weekly and untested.

Can you look after a website you did not build?

Yes, in most cases. We start by reviewing the site to see what state it is in and what it would need each month, then quote from there. Occasionally the honest answer is that a rebuild would cost less than years of maintenance, and we will say so.

Is there a lock-in contract?

No. Care plans run on rolling monthly agreements, like everything else we do.

Does the plan include hosting?

Hosting and care are separate things: hosting is the server, care is the work of keeping the site itself healthy. We can arrange hosting or work alongside your current provider, and the quote makes clear which is which.
